The bulk bag filling machine has been around since the early 80's, however the cantilever design of bulk bag filling machines were developed in the early 1990's. It was developed and ultimately patented by Erie Technical Systems, Inc. founder, Rick Sienerth, in 1995. Since the founding of Erie Technical Systems, Inc. we have been involved in the advancement of this concept. We have designed and released a complete line of Bulk Container and FIBC filling systems for all budgets and production requirements. They are the EconoMAX, DensiMAX, DustMAX, and ValuMAX.
We also have integrated our densification process into the EconoMAX and DensiMAX fill stations. Each of our units is adjustable and capable of filling all bulk bag and container sizes. The Densimax is the most optioned fill station and the most automated. It is used for production rates in excess of 15 containers per hour and is controlled with a PLC. The EconoMAX is a more manual version of the DensiMAX, which is typically used for production rates less than 15 containers per hour.
Our stations come integral with an inflatable bulk bag neck seal or bladder that creates a dust tight seal between the fill spout of the bag and the product flow tube. Our fill spout is a dual diameter unit which creates an annular opening so air can be expended to a plant dust collection system. The air is the result of air being displaced from the bag and replaced with the filled material.
